With over 35 years of experience, Unison Behavioral Health Group is the community’s recognized and preferred leader in caring for the behavioral health and alcohol and substance abuse issues of adults and children.

Unison offers confidential treatment options including:

Services for adults diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI)
Medical services and medication management for adults and children related to their behavioral health issue
Alcohol and other drug treatment for youth ages 11-17 including: assessment, individual treatment, intensive outpatient and aftercare
Home-based family therapy for children with serious emotional disabilities
Outpatient counseling services for adults and children

“Leon and Mia – Crisis and Recovery” Slated to Receive Lilly Reintegration Award
Unison Behavioral Health Group’s Genesis Partial Hospitalization Program has been selected the national winner of the 2010 Lilly Reintegration Award in the Artistic Contribution Category. “Leon and Mia – Crisis and Recovery”, an animated film created by consumers in Unison’s Genesis Program, is being recognized for its’ artistic expression and contribution to the individual’s reintegration process and that of others. Cathy Ruffer, Genesis Partial Hospitalization Program Manager says, “Our team hopes that the film will lead to greater sensitivity to and understanding of people struggling with mental illness.” Since 1997, the Lilly Reintegration Awards has been honoring those who dedicate themselves to improving the lives of individuals with serious mental illnesses. Unison’s Genesis Partial Hospitalization Program is an intensive outpatient service provided for individuals who are in an acute phase of their mental illness, are transitioning from the hospital or are at-risk for hospitalization.

2nd Place Clinical Reintegration Award honors Unison’s Dual Recovery Program
In addition to the outstanding achievement of the Genesis Program, Unison’s Dual Recovery Program is slated to receive Lilly’s 2nd Place Clinical Reintegration Award. The treatment team is being honored for their exceptional contribution and treatment of individuals who battle a co-occurring severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) and substance abuse problem.

Unison Behavioral Health Group Expands Services
Unison Behavioral Health Group stepped up in the midst of crisis to meet the needs of Toledo youth when Connecting Point closed in 2009. Concerns raced throughout the community about the future of behavioral health and substance abuse treatment for youth in Toledo, and, Unison took the steps to ensure local youth and their families would not fall through the cracks.
